Sugar cookie truffles

So, I have I told you lately how much I love Pinterest?  Well, I do!!  LOL!!  I found this great recipe on it and wanted to share it with you...sugar cookie truffles!!!  I made them for a friend of mine who is celebrating her birthday on Sunday.  I think they turned out great!  This is how I did it!!

First you have to actually make sugar cookies, they need to be really crispy, so I baked mine a little longer than the instructions said to.  I also put them in the fridge for a little while to really cool off.  Next, I put all of the cookies into my blender and slowly blended them into crumbs.  I poured the cookie crumbs into a bowl and blended 3 ounces of cream cheese with the crumbs.  Nest you roll the mixture into little bite size balls and put them into the freezer for at least 30 minutes.  Make sure the balls are very cold because the next step is dipping them into melted white chocolate and adding sprinkles.  Thankfully, I had a really cute assistant to help me with the sprinkles as I was dipping the balls into the chocolate!  You have to work quickly at this point so that the chocolate doesn't harden before the sprinkles and voila, the finished product!!  So fun!!

Details from my parents 50th wedding anniversary party!

My parents recently celebrated their 50th anniversary at M@ggiano's.  We rented out a private room!  My family made me in charge of all of the details!  I had so much fun!

I found old black and white photo's from my parents wedding and transferred them onto votives that I bought at the d*llar store!  They were all over the room!

For the party favors I a had customized m&m's made and then made these!
They were on placed in front of everyone's plates when they sat down!

I found old pictures of my parents throughout out the years and blew them up and placed them in frames all around the room!

We also had a DVD playing with pictures of them throughout the years with 1950's music playing!

Me and my sis (I'm the one in black)!

The happy couple!

My mom is a big dessert person, so I made sure there was plenty to choose from!

More photo's!

It was so much fun!  There were only about 15 people there, so it was very intiment and special!
The next day they flew off to Portugal and Spain!  So fun!!

Oops!

So for Christmas on of the gifts my hubby gave us was to go to Cheyenne Frontier Days!
We were all excited except when my daughter overheard me saying that this hotel was supposedly haunted!  YIKES!  Bad mommy moment for me!!  So, I came up with this monster/ghost spray and told my daughter that it kept away all the scary ghosts!
Thankfully she bought it!!  Here she is at the hotel spraying Fre*breeze all over the room!
Too cute!!

Jolly Rancher Lollipops!

The kiddo's were looking for a fun project, so we decided to make some Jolly Rancher Lollipops!
They are so easy to make and taste delicious!!!
I think the hardest part of the whole thing is unwrapping the Jolly Ranchers, lol!!

Make sure you use parchment paper, set the over at around 250 degree's, line the jolly ranchers up, stick them in the oven and watch them slowly melt--about 7 minutes!
Make sure you are quick once you take them out because that's when you have to insert the stick!

What a fun afternoon!!!
