Annual Kids Halloween Party!

I hosted my annual kid Halloween party on Sunday.  We lucked out with the weather, it was a beautiful day.  Everyone had a great time!  I served my annual taco soup with mexican cheese and frito's.  I asked all the guests to bring an appetizer or a dessert.  We had plenty to eat!  My taco soup recipe is a hit with adults and kids, here is the recipe:

2 lbs ground beef
1 can rotel
1 pkg of Hidden Valley Ranch
1 pkg of Taco Seasoning
3 cans of Pinto Beans
3 cans of whole corn

Brown the meat, and drain as much grease out as you can.  In the crockpot put all the ingredients together, don't drain the beans or corn, just throw everything in and let it cook in the crockpot!  Delicious!!

Anyway, back to the party.  Every year I like to make some goodies to give to the kiddo's when they leave the party, this year I made these hershey bars covered like mummies and white chocolate skeleton suckers!  They were a hit and the kiddo's loved them.

I bought the skeleton mold at the dollar store!  It was for skeleton ice cubes but I just poured white chocolate into it and put a stick in it.  So easy!

I had a mold to make these, there is an oreo cookie in the middle.  This was the first batch that I had ever done, so they weren't perfect, but I thought they were cute!

This year I made feely boxes and put all sorts of gross things in them.  The kiddo's loved it!  I wanted them to experience this because I remember growing up and doing it and I wanted them to have the memory too!  I did teeth, brains, fingers, eyeballs and a tongue!

I have used this same banner for years.  I'm not really a big fan of it, but it's memories for the kiddo's!

I started putting these bat's on my wall last year!
Hopefully another good memory maker for my kiddo's!

My scary ninja and zombie bride!

I made ice cubes with body part gummies that I bought at the dollar store!

I put eyeballs all over my dispenser and filled it up with Hawaiian Punch!
It was a hit!  I forgot to snap a photo of it when it was filled, but it was cute!

Aren't these cupcakes adorable?!  One of the mom's made these!  I was so impressed!!

We played hot potato to scary music, I told a ghost story, we did a pinata and then the kiddo's just ran and played with each other--they were so full of sugar! LOL!

The feely boxes!
So lucky to have a teenager next door who was willing to help me with it so the kiddo's couldn't peek in!  They liked it!!

The party was fun for the adults too!
Our party started at 2pm and some of the families didn't leave until almost 7pm!
It was a hit!

Prepping for my annual Halloween Party!!

My 7th annual kiddo's Halloween Party is two weeks from tomorrow!
I'm trying to get as much done as I can...so yesterday I bought a bunch of chocolate hershey bars and wrapped them up as mummy's!  I am going to give these away as party favors!
Did I mention that Halloween is my favorite holiday E-V-E-R?
Well...it is!

First I wrapped the bar with white crepe paper.

Then I glued they eye's on.

Finally I took the crepe paper and wrapped it around the bar again.
I tried to frame the eye's.

Final product!
Party Favor's for the kiddo's when they leave the party! : )

Pink and Green Birthday Party!

Last Saturday my daughter had a pink and green birthday party!
I had so much fun putting everything together!
Here are some photo's of the party!
The last picture is with the birthday girl!  She had to have a pink and green outfit! : )
The kiddo's had a blast and left on a sugar high!
The party was from 3-5pm so I didn't serve a meal, only sugar!
It was a BLAST!

To be honest, I wasn't the biggest fan of the cake...but Ellie designed it, so it was perfect! : )

Favorite Things Party!

The concept for this party is like Oprah's favorite things, but on a much smaller scale.

Each person brings their favorite thing (anything you like...your favorite lip gloss, favorite kitchen tool, a gift card to your favorite frozen yogurt, favorite nail polish, etc.)  It can't cost more than $6, and each person has to bring five of the same things!  We will all draw five names and exchange our favorite things with each other. So, at the end of the evening, everyone goes home with five NEW favorite things!  Can I use the word favorite anymore, lol!!!

We had such a fun night!  Everyone brought their favorite treat or appetizer!

Everyone wrote their names five times and put them in the jar.  Also, I made bags for everyone to take home their favorite things!

I also had a door prize!  I picked five other products that I liked and put them in this bag.  I made scratch of tickets and one of them said "Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!!".  So fun!

The ladies had a blast!  It was a ton of fun!

Hunger Game Birthday Party!

Hunger Games Party!!

Party favor's for each of the kiddo's!
I got the Archery Play set at the Doll*ar Store.
I got the Tracker Jacker Anti Venom labels on line and put them on antibacterial soap that I bought at B*th and Body Works.  The kiddo's loved them!

The "weapons"

It was such a hot day, so we decided to make water balloons and use them as "weapons" too!

Once all the kiddo's got there, my son explained all the rules to them.

Next, each kiddo found out what their Tribute name was.
It was a ton of fun!
Some of the names were hilarious, Duckycuddle, Killtiger, etc.!

Next it was time to get their game faces on!
I had camouflage paint for them!

Each kiddo had put three hearts to represent their three lives in the game.
They also had to pick from a bowl, the district that they would represent.
Seth was so excited with the one he choose!

The boys were so excited!

We put all the weapons into the cornucopia!
We had the sprinkler going because it was just so hot outside!
It kept the kiddo's cool as they were running all over.

Let the games begin!
May the odds be ever in your favor!
GO!!!

Getting their weapons!

The game lasted a good 30 minutes!
Brennen was the winner!

Now it was time to break open the Tracker Jacker pinata!

It took about 4 big swings to get it opened!
Silly birthday boy!
